衷心讚美如魔力，非但受者領受美言，更激勵其表現。恭維（compliments）適用於親朋好友、上司下屬或同儕間，更合宜於服務人員。享受佳肴及溫馨服務，宜適時讚美餐廳場所及人力。稱讚餐廳很棒、漂亮、令人驚奇套用：「This is an absolutely fabulous/fantastic/beautiful/amazing restaurant.」；欣賞絕佳、愜意、無與倫比氣氛：「The atmosphere/ambiance of the restaurant is terrific/cozy/unbeatable.」。

喜愛鮮花與蠟燭營造用餐的親密感：「I/We enjoy the feeling of intimacy with flowers and candles the restaurant offers.」；讚賞獨特，動人音樂：「The music played in the restaurant is unique and appealing.」。

「這是我在X國家或X城市品嘗的最棒美食」（This is the best food that I’ve ever had in +國家或城市.）大大讚頌廚師好手藝，或以片語道出該食物是該市區的珍饈美饌或富創意：「excellent/creative food in town」，或更簡單的「absolutely perfect」。菜色別出心裁而誘人，在該市區首屈一指：「The menu is both unique and interesting, and it is second to none.」；酒類一流或廣泛令人驚艷：「The wine list is nice/superb/extensive.」。褒獎服務時可說：「Your service is outstanding/impeccable/excellent.」或用「專業的」（professional），亦可誇讚對方既棒又提供協助，令你或你們等不及再度光臨「You are so nice and helpful, and I/we can’t wait to come back again.」。
